The track was shot at the aforementioned Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes, which was once Britain's biggest pressing plant, and artists who swing by are encouraged to cover a classic track that was (probably) pressed on the premises. Watch now on Q The Music!

"Happiness Doesn't Have To Be A Trap" Sea of Bees Visits Daytrotter
"Bee's voice is one that we trust as a narrator. It grabs us and it guides us to these wind-whipped souls who have seemingly washed up into the right arms at last. They've never asked for much and they're asking for the same here, as Bee sings, "Kiss me once or twice/Maybe I could die happy as a bird." Listen now on Daytrotter.

NPR Premieres Jason Lytle and Sea of Bees' New Covers!
"According to legend, once in each millennium, the Music Gods come together and, after much debate, agree to bestow a single magical gift upon the world — a song or album or project so breathtaking, it leaves throngs of people weeping in the streets at its splendor and forever changes the way we hear music. That time is now, as Jason Lytle and Sea of Bees have opted to cover each other's songs." Listen now on NPR!

CMJ Premieres Sea of Bees' New Video For "Gone"!
"Today CMJ is premiering the video for “Gone,” a dreamy-toned track from Orangefarben. The video, directed by Los Angeles skater Mike Rafter, shows Jules Bee hanging around an Amtrak station, playing on the song’s theme of leaving. We caught up with Jules to ask her a few questions about the video, which you can find below." Watch the video over on CMJ!

Buzzbands.la Gets Swept Away By Sea of Bees' L.A. Performance
"Audiences can have their heads elsewhere when it comes to watching a show in a small space, but when Julie Baenziger — aka Jules, aka Julie Ann Bee and aka Sea of Bees — sings out, the music cuts through the room like a knife. The Sacramento folk-pop singer barely needed to raise her voice to command attention at the Echo on Wednesday night. A simple coo and a gentle strum on her guitar quickly drew the crowd to her endearing odes to love." Read on at Buzzbands.la

Sea Of Bees Performed with The Spinto Band in Brooklyn last night and VICE almost got peed on.
"The reason I went to the Rock Shop was to see the lovely and amazing band, Sea of Bees, who traveled from Sacramento, California to play a couple shows. We met up a few hours before they had to play and busted loose on the face of Park Slope; winking, bobbing, AND weaving all over the double-wide strollers and local lesbians. It was a scene." Sea of Bees "Orangefarben" Out Today!
"It's hard to imagine packing more heartache into a single record than Julie Ann Bee does on Orangefarben." NPR's All Songs Considered
"It’s the perfect heartbreak album, it’s the perfect falling in love album. In a word, it’s perfect." The Deli
"'I'll be fine,' she sings on the opener, Broke. If you initially doubt Baenziger's chances of that, deeper exposure to this remarkable album leaves you feeling that she may just be right." The London Times
"Orangefarben harbours a great deal of warmth and assurance in amongst its heartbreak." Line Of Best Fit
""With sunny-sounding guitars and a sweet, ethereal voice that belies the agony of which she sings, Bee makes Orangefarben a meditation on mind over matter, the importance of gasping “I’ll be fine” again and again, even when it’s clear you’re not." eMusic Editor's Pick
"Her spritely crooning is uplifting, heartbreaking, and sunny all at once." The Owl Magazine
"Orangefarben is so personal and yet so incredibly relateable, it's almost as though she has seen all of us in our most painful moments of heartbreak and decided to write an album about it." After Ellen

Sea of Bees' "Orangefarben" Editor's Pick on eMusic!
"With sunny-sounding guitars and a sweet, ethereal voice that belies the agony of which she sings, Bee makes Orangefarben a meditation on mind over matter, the importance of gasping “I’ll be fine” again and again, even when it’s clear you’re not. “And I know I shouldn’t think those thoughts / but I’ve gone ahead and thought those thoughts and I’m fine,” she confesses on “Teeth,” as if convincing herself that the worst may be over, that time might go about its business and provide some relief. And if that grief is never fully eradicated, if she still finds herself longing for the comfort and safety of old attachments (oh, the sad letters I wrote to my parents from summer camp!), then at least the baggage she lugs around with her will be beautiful. Sea Of Bees' "Orangefarben" Streaming Now On NPR!
"It's hard to imagine packing more heartache into a single record than Julie Ann Bee does on Orangefarben. The album, her second full-length under the name Sea of Bees, is a collection of intimate, sometimes gut-wrenching love letters documenting the dissolution of a passionate but doomed relationship. This is Bee's heart laid bare: The songs are raw, personal and burning with love, sex, longing and grief." Listen now on NPR.

Sea of Bees "Take" Premiered On RCRDLBL
Sea Of Bees, the musical project of Sacramento multi-instrumentalist Julie Ann Baenziger, will release a new album, Orangefarben, April 9 via Heavenly Recordings. The LP showcases Baenziger playing nearly all the instruments. Album cut “Take” is a sparkling indie-pop burner that's equal parts moody and hopeful, Baenziger’s voice pairing with her dulcet instrumentals to create an intimately evocative soundscape." Listen to Take" over on RCRDLBL here.

Sea of Bees Blows Away The East Bay Express With Her San Francisco Performance

"Backed by a bassist, guitarist and drummer (a friend who was winging it), Bee strummed an electric acoustic guitar and sang in her impassioned, emotion-filled voice, which seems to avoid hard consonants and thus almost sounds like she has an accent. Bee, who’s from Sacramento, started her career playing solo, so maybe that’s why the final song she played, alone, was the most powerful moment of the night — truly captivating." The Wild Honey Pie Reviews Sea of Bees' "Gnomes" EP
"Julie Ann Bee’s voice is arresting. It’s not the kind that allows one to sit idly by as it waifs in the background. It demands attention. It’s the kind that can turn a ubiquitous song like U2’s “With Or Without You” into a song that feels unfamiliar– something that takes on a whole new meaning. This is exactly what Julie, more commonly known as Jules, does on Sea of Bees’ (@seaofbees) Gnomes EP. Although the EP only features one original song, along with a remix and two covers, each track offers a completely different perspective and is very much unique to her style." Sea of Bees "Gnomes (Tunng Remix)" Premieres on RCRD LBL
"With this Tunng remix of “Gnomes,” we see Julie Ann Bee has fallen to earth, landing hard on the other, more human end of the psychedelic scale. Her beautiful strangeness is no less understandable—it’s simply primal where it once rang celestial. Add Far East guitars, chopped beats, harping keyboards and a wall of feedback, and you’ve got a lost-in-the-woods tweaker that'll haunt you for days." Click on over to RCRD LBL to listen to Sea of Bees "Gnomes" Tunng remix and hear it for yourself!
