Nylon loves Sourpatch!
The poppy, upbeat melodies of the California band Sourpatch are exactly like the candy of the same name—sugary, a little sharp, and totally addictive.
The playful four-piece (2 guys, 2 girls) pair their soothing vocals backed by a raw guitar foundation, all for an indie pop sound that’s like Best Coast meets Tiger Trap.
While their first album, Crushin’, brings us back to innocent middle school playground days, Sourpatch has since matured with the new release of Stagger and Fade.
Their latest single, “Cynthia Ann,” touches on the letdowns of a relationship, but with a bittersweet optimism we can all appreciate.
