MOKB Premieres Dana Falconberry's New Video For "Leelanau."

"Even if it was made in a sewer (no, I’m not making that up), it’s wonderful to see a higher-quality video for Dana Falconberry. For several weeks, I’ve been entranced by her new album, Leelanau. It seems as if Falconberry, who carried some of her rural Michigan-based love of nature with her to Austin, could find the magic anywhere." Watch her video now over on MOKB.

Stream Dana Falconberry's New LP 'Leelanau' On Spin!

"The song titles of orchestral pop songstress Dana Falconberry’s forthcoming record, Leelanau, are as exquisite and unpronounceable as the music itself. For her new record, Falconberry not only expanded her sonic palette to include a six-piece orchestra; she made illustrations for her bandmates to study while they recorded their instrumentals." Listen now on Spin.

Dana Falconberry Talks About Her Latest "Leelanau" On Austin 360.

"The new album, a collection of songs punctuated by short interludes (Falconberry calls them “songlets”), brims with the mood of the Michigan peninsula for which it is named and where Falconberry spent time as a child — a river runs, rain falls, birds sing. “I definitely wanted to make it bigger,” she said. “I wanted it to be a stark contrast to things I had done before." All Songs Considered Premieres Dana Falconberry's 'Crooked River'

"Falconberry's songs on Leelanau are like magical but strange little fairy tales. They shimmer and creep. Listening to them is like the musical equivalent of bounding through a poppy field, with fluttering little butterflies dancing in the air. But Falconberry isn't overly precious. There's mystery lurking in the shadows." Listen now right here.

Dana Falconberry's Latest Daytrotter Session Up Now For Your Listening Pleasure.

"Her songs, while dealing with many personal matters and all of those messy things that people get themselves into with other people, are set into place by her vivid descriptions of a world that could care less about who's missing who, who's loving who or what anyone's feeling at any given time. It's a world that's wholly disconnected from any possible misinterpretation. It's just out there, swaying in the breeze, praying for rain or some shade or trying to find breakfast, lunch or dinner." Listen now on Daytrotter.

Watch Dana Falconberry's New Video On Spin!

"Fittingly, the video for the album's lush, wistful advance track, "Lake Charlevoix," mixes performance footage with stunning natural imagery. In keeping with the song's spirit of childhood reminiscence, balloons feature prominently. "I keep my curtains mostly closed," Falconberry sighs, but you'll want your eyes — and ears — to stay open all the way to the playful ending." Watch the video now on Spin.

Nylon Premieres Dana Falconberry's New Track "Lake Charlievoix."

"But though I'm far from the most knowledgeable on the Midwestern singer, there's something to be said for hearing a voice for the first time and becoming a instant fan. Mixing the sweet nostalgia of folk music with an unexpected dash of soul, Falconberry's music takes you on a journey, like a good book on a rainy day." Listen now over on Nylon!

Don't miss the Consequence of Sound review of Dana Falconberry's "Though I Didn’t Call It Came"

"The piano and guitar of “Muskegon” roll along together, giving a brief yet weighty interlude between the first pair of songs and “Maple Leaf Red (acoustic)”, where a toy piano and whistle melodies dance around Falconberry’s swirl of delightful color comparisons. While her airy voice and words are constants, both recognizable and joys to hear, her and Cox’s instrumentation is what really makes the songs pop, hand claps and cello stomps included." Read on at Consequence of Sound.

Listen to The Premiere of Dana Falconberry's “Petoskey Stone” On MTVHive

"Falconberry, who in the past tended to keep things on the sparse side, branches out into an orchestral-folk arrangement, complimenting the high pitch that lines her voice with strings and harps. It’s a reflective, yet whimsical song, the way one should be when waxing on days spent discovering these little Lake Michigan gems." Visit MTV to listen to Falconberry's lovely new track.
