Led To Sea / Solvents - YESSSS!

Thanks for a wonderful evening last night! The Riot Act crew was out in full force to catch Solvents and Led To Sea at Portland's Mississippi Studios last night and what a treat it was. Seeing Led To Sea flushed out as a trio for the first time outside of Seattle was AMAZING, jaws were collected from the floor at the end of the set. Solvents added a layer of scuzz to their music that we've not witnessed, so rad to see them rock out as a fully amplified four-piece!

Stereogum premiered the new Triumph Of Lethargy Skinned Alive To Death video!

"Triumph Of Lethargy Skinned Alive To Death’s sixth proper LP Some Of Us Are In This Together is a sludgy, slow-mo, pained, ultimately transcendent collection." Brandon Stosuy, Stereogum

What do you hope to achieve with your music? For myself, I think I hope to achieve some measure of stillness — playing music makes me feel calm.

RCRD LBL PREMIERE: Skull Tape - Whip My Hair (Drowning In Blood) (Willow Smith Cover)

"Whip My Hair" is not a song that needed any assistance by way of catchiness, and thankfully Skull Tape's cover is more redesign than faithful rendering. The brainchild of Mae Shi member Brad Breeck and joined by Vice Cooler and Robotanists' Daniel DeBlanke on the track, it is a version with a little something for everyone: indie, electronic, the occasional foray into rock ballad and a two-minute finale that could be a song in its own right. "Whip My Hair (Drowning In Blood)' is bonus material from Skull Tape's upcoming full length on LA's Fine, The Invisible Hand And The Descent Of Man." Head over to RCRD LBL to download the song for free!
